Take the challenge of walking Melbourne's iconic Tan Track and help raise funds to find a cure for brain cancer.

Bill Tingate is remembered for his brave battle with brain cancer. He loved walking, and taking on many challenges like Everest Base Camp and Mt. Kilimanjaro. Like so many city workers, The Tan was a favorite of his to walk or run during lunch breaks, when he worked nearby in South Melbourne

• Sunday 12th November 2023. Check in from 10:00am. Walk starts at 10:30am.
• Pillars of Wisdom, Kings Domain, Alexandra Ave, Melbourne
• At the conclusion of the 3.8km walk stay for a picnic in the adjacent gardens.
• Family and pet friendly. Dress code - comfortable casual. Don't forget your hat, sunscreen and drink bottle.
• Bid on our silent auction items, including a holiday in Tropical North Queensland worth over $4,000.
• By participating in Bill's Walk, you will help raise funds for The Alfred Hospital's Neurosurgery Department and contribute to research to find a cure for brain cancer - a lasting legacy Bill would be proud of. Each registration includes a tax deductible donation to the Bill Tingate Brain Cancer Foundation.
• We are aiming to raise $15,000 at this year's walk, which will contributed to a further donation to The Alfred Foundation.
